My journey with Gravity is 7 months young, and it is a ‘Fairytale Story’ or ‘Ripley’s Believe it or not!’ I met Aditya in May when I was suffering with severe back pain and was unable to continue my most passionate sport, Polo.
My only request was “Cure my back pain.” Polo being a dangerous sport, one needs to be absolutely fit and agile. Gnanavel, Physio, assessed my strength and weakness and advised the type of training. Tailormade classes were planned by Aditya. The first few weeks only involved stretches to improve my flexibility. Lying down and being stretched on the yoga mat and the wooden floor being my only gym equipment while the other gym equipment were having a good laugh at me, wondering why I was there.
Thanks to the flexibility, mobility and stabilty traning. (reminder to use every part of our body to it potential).
Today, I ride with no back pain. From working on the floor, I graduated to working on the gym equipment!!!
The myth that going to a gym is only to build a six pack was broken by Aditya. He made me understand the importance of thoughts, exercise, nutrition, hydration and good sleep for a better and healthier body.
Classes are not repetitive because he understands my body and if he senses lack of sleep/pre-occupied mind/not hydrated, he modifies the class. Aditya believes cosmetic is a by-product of a healthy body as much as an Architect, I believe “Form Follows Function”.
Familiar words of Aditya “An inch more, a little higher, forward” keep ringing in my mind and I practice the same whether it is in riding or my profession.
Thanks to Aditya/Gnanavel and the rest of the team, I was able to cure my back pain without being under the mercy of medication or physiotherapy.
Gravity is one place I will recommend anyone to join and experience to understand the meaning of “Holistic Fitness”. Thank you, Aditya, for curing my back pain and ending the Fairytale story on a good note.
